After graduation from the University of Florida, Gary L. French spent over 30 years as a CPA and operations executive in the investment management industry, before returning to Florida on a full-time basis.
Currently he serves as a Trustee for Exchange Traded Concepts Trust and as a consultant to the mutual fund industry. He was, until December 2010, Senior Vice President in the Mutual Fund Administration group at State Street Corporation. In that role, he was responsible for Client Operations groups which provide fund administration services for over 115 client relationships with more than 2,500 funds and assets under administration in excess of $3 trillion.
Among other roles, Gary was Managing Director in charge of Deutsche Bank’s U.S. Fund Operations unit. Deutsche Bank acquired Zurich Scudder Investments, which Gary had joined to lead the reorganization and integration of mutual fund, institutional separate account and high-net-worth investment operations functions.
He served as President of UAM Fund Services and was with Fidelity Investments where he served as Senior Vice President in charge of Fund Accounting and later, as Treasurer of the Fidelity Group of mutual funds.
Gary began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1973 and then moved on to assume the position of Chief Financial and Operations Officer for a west coast based mutual fund developer, where he helped build the company.
